Our Alyssa is 12!!

Our beautiful daughter Alyssa just turned 12....wow how time flys! We are so very blessed to have her in our family...it wouldn't be near the same without her fun, outgoing personality! We love her so much and are so thankful for her:) She went to her first night of young women last night and I cried....cannot honestly believe that she is already that grown up! For her birthday she wanted a pedicure, manicure, and to go shopping with mom...that's what we are doing on friday evening! Can't wait!

Halloween was fun this year! Alyssa decided to be Spiderella, Kenzie was a skelorocker, Weston was a vampire, Olivia was a ladybug and Landon was a care bear! They got lots of candy....we even went to a Halloween party where our friends had a scavenger hunt for the adults and lots of fun things for the kids!

Now that we are living in Gresham near my bro-in-law Jeff...Jason has been able to get some hunting in. He got his first buck and said it was awesome! Now I am sure there is not stopping him! Bad news is is that now I have to can the meat.....I guess I better get used to it :)

So even after potting training, behavior training, having chewed up everything from shoes to couches none of that would have made us get rid of Briggs. It came down to the nipping at the kids and drawing blood on three of them that made us finally realize that we had to say goodbye to our family dog Briggs, or Briggers as we loved calling him! We took him back to the humane society today and cried pretty much the rest of the day on and off. Out of all the family it was Kenzie and I who had the hardest time, I think partly because he would sleep with me when Jason was gone during the week and Kenzie always played and loved on him the most. I had no idea how hard it would be.....I bawled like a baby. We are all praying that some hunter or family without small children will come and fall in love with him because for the most part he is an awesome dog! We went through all the hard stuff with him and still fell absolutely in love with him. He became part of our family. I must say though that I love my kids more than the dog and that is what it came down to....keeping them safe. He was getting way to aggressive and very territorial. As for getting another dog....I doubt that will happen any time soon, but atleast I know now that I am a dog person and I love them! They really do complete a family....he will surely be missed:(

Okay so I know that it has been forever so I just wanted to give anyone out there still reading our blog a quick update: Jason started a new job 3 hours from here May 7th, in the mean time I have stayed back with the kids and tryed selling our home, which in this sucky economy isn't working:( He is currently living with my older sister and hubby and 3 girls and comes home to us every weekend. We prayed about this decision before we made it and he got the job he has wanted amazing quick so we jumped on it. As most of you know we live an hour from church and have been commuting for almost 2 years now back and forth every sunday.....well it was really wearing on us and so we thought about it and decided to pray about new employment where our church would be closer, it was either that or forget going and we thought our first thought was the better decision:) My sister lives in Gresham, WI which is 15 minutes from Shawano, WI where Jason is currently employed. We are in the process of trying to buy another home and crossing our fingers that we can!, if that falls through we will end up renting for a while because I am sure we will have to walk from this home:( I don't like the idea of it but in reality living with my husband and having our family back together is way more important than credit! I will say absence does make the heart grow fonder.....any of you our there a little sick of your hubby, take a little break from him and you will realize what it is like to be alone....not fun. I love Jason so much and the kids, well to put it lightly LOVE their dad and put up with their mom so it is extremely hard for them to be without the other "kid" in the family the "rough houser", their "playmate"! We will know soon whether or not we will be buying another home or renting in Gresham, WI which is the same city my older sister lives in and one hour from my mother, sister Liz and Matt and their adorable new little girl Kahlyn, and soon to be also my baby sister Trish and her fiance Gary! It will be even better living that much closer to family! And to add icing on the cake, church is right around the corner and it is an amazing ward! Since the gospel is such a huge part of our lives we knew we needed to make this move and even though it has been rough and tough we know in the end it will be well worth it!!

On an exciting note we are going to Arizona and Mexico from August 12th-23rd for our family vacation and get to go stay in my inlaws condo in Mexico for 4 days of it! I can't wait to kick back and relax a little and let the stress melt away! We are flying with the whole fam so we won't be stuck in a car for 28 hours!! Thanks to Jason's wonderful grandma and mom and dad! We feel so blessed to be able to go on this trip!!

Well that's all for now....I will try and post pics later but lets be honest it probably won't happen with everything going on! :)

Jason and I decided that it was time to build on a room downstairs in the basement. Alyssa and Meckenzie loved the idea and this is the finished product! Thanks to my awesome friend Jen, the girls have adorable comforters to match and cute loopty loos on their wall:) My sister is making a curtain for the window and I have the girls names in vinyl I still have to put up.....so it will look even better later! The girls love having their privacy away from Olivia(she would get into all of their stuff) and now can stay up a little later reading etc. We feel very blessed to have been able to afford to do this and also so quickly! The contractors we found gave us an incredible rate that we couldn't pass up. Their room has its own heater so it stays really toasty down there even though it is really cold in the basement:) On the other side of the room on the outside is a closet to hang up winter stuff etc and has a door that goes up to the garage. That is why the room is shaped kind of funny. But the girls don't complain, they LOVE IT!

So blogs are suppose to be a place where you can vent, express, or just plain write about anything and everything right?!? So I am writing mainly for myself, but also for others if they care to listen. I don't think anyone really looks at my blog too often anyways so this is safe:) So here goes: I am so very discouraged at this moment with myself. I was going along so well back in July when I was losing weight, feeling great and was able to run a 5k. Now I sit here having put on 15-20(I haven't weighed myself in a week) of the hard pds I lost and continue to feel so defeated I cannot seem to get back on track. It is frustrating to no end to continue on like this. The worst part is is that when I go to see friends or family that haven't seen me in awhile I feel like I don't want to go because of this suddon weight gain. It makes me feel trapped and mad at myself for letting myself slip back into my old habits when I was doing so great! I was so determined to be on the cover of people 1/2 their size, but I guess I didn't want it bad enough! Even after so many of you gave me great encouragement and pushed me along I still failed. So that's that......I just needed to vent, I know that I need to get over being mad and just get back on track and just say ENOUGH! Hopefully that will come sooner than later.

This year Alyssa was the nerdiest nerd, Meckenzie a devilish devil, Weston was big bad Megatron, Olivia was the prettiest tinkerbell, and Landon the cutest spidey! We had alot of fun carving pumpkins going trick-or-treating with the kids! Jason stayed back for half of it passing out candy and he said he saw 100+ trick or treaters! We ran out of candy and had to go buy more! Anyway we can't believe that we have lived here for over a year! We love it so far and have made some wonderful friends!

So we finally caved and got a puppy! We went to the Humaine Society and found our little guy Briggs! He is such a fun and exhausting addition to our family! I always have to watch him to make sure he doesn't chew on certain things and make sure he makes it outside to pee! It is just like having a newborn baby:) But we love him and are glad that we got him! They think he is a cross between a beagle and lab so he will get to be a good size but for now he is still small! He has the beagle floppy ears for sure and the tail, more of a lab nose and body! Our kids adore him, lets just hope it stays that way I am sure it will wear off:)

Alyssa decided that she wanted to do Cross-country this year and they let 5th graders so we said give it a try! She loves running and really enjoys being part of the team! She ran her first meet in 17 minutes and some seconds....I can't remember exactly but it was around a mile and a 1/2 she actually ended up puking as she passed the finish line because she said she was so hot and really pushed herself! We were so proud of her! She is such an awesome kid!

Finally I am posting my kids first day of school! Alyssa's was hard because Olivia scratched her in her eye and it was burning so when I took the pic she could barely see out of it she said. I had to take her to the eye doctor on the first day and sure enough she had a scratch on her actual eye! Poor thing, but we got her medicine and it got better quick, needless to say she will never forget her first day of middle school! Meckenzie was my emotional one and was sad that school was starting again but loved it when she went! She enjoys third grade but sad that she has more homework now:) Weston was mad that I didn't let him take the bus to school on the first day and said that he didn't like that tradition! He loves kindergarten and is already ready for first grade!! He loves his new teacher and loves going all day! I am glad the kiddos are back in school...now maybe I can gain my sanity back!

The 5K race!

Jason and I ran the 5k here in Ladysmith for Mardi Gras! It was something that we have been working on for some time now and we were able to do it! Jason was able to speed up towards the end so his time was a little better than mine...Jason 36:31 mine was 37:16. I wanted to beat my training time and I only did by 2 seconds but the actual race was alot hillier than my course:) It was so great to do it together and now our next goal is a 10k in September. I don't know if we will be ready by then but we will try! It was wonderful to have Jason's parents here cheering us on and helping out with the kiddos! Thanks a bunch!

These are our good friends Josh and Gina. They finished alot sooner than we did but cheered us on at the end:) Jason works with Josh at the hospital he is another PT who moved here about the same time we did.

Cousins visiting!

Since Caleb and Mitchell were here visiting their grandma and grandpa in Green Bay I thought that it would be fun to have them come and stay with us for a few days here in Ladysmith so that the cousins could spend time together! We had alot of fun! We had a bon fire and roasted marshmellows, went to the beach at our park alot and geocaching!!..and also did many other things together including going to the Blue hills festival where they got to play games, get tatoos, compete in a tractor pull and watch baseball! It was a great visit.....we sure love them! We will miss them when they go back to Logan, Utah.

We went to the beach on the 3rd when Heidi got here with her girls. We had alot of fun! It was perfect sand and great weather! The water was a little cool but you got used to it quick! We hung out there why the guys back home were putting in the floor in the bathroom! It was alot of fun!

We had alot of fun on the 4th! It was great to have my sister Heidi here with her family! My kids loved playing with their cousins and loved doing sparklers together. We had a bon fire and had smores and just hung out! We love our fire pit it turned out awesome! Landon and Allie loved the sparklers they were even trying to grab at the hot part. We had an all around good ol' time together.

Being that our house was built in the 70's there are countless things that we would like to change! But we have to do a little at a time because it is pricey! Since my bro in law Jeff was coming up for the 4th he suggested laying down the hardwood floor we wanted in our bathroom. He is amazing and always does a perfect job....we are so lucky to have him in our family:) Plus he gives us a great deal! Jason and I had fun taking all our aggression out getting the tile up we did that to lower the cost of the job. I must say that it was really fun actually hammering the crap out of it!:) The end result is amazing and we LOVE IT!!! Thanks Jeff....now we have a little piece of your home in ours:)

I have been training for my first 5k run and was finally able to run a full 3.1 miles plus to my house so a little longer:)! My sister is a big runner she once ran the St. George marathon so I figured since she was going to be visiting us for the 4th of July I would put her to work and have her train me and see if I could run the whole way......she is an amazing coach and was able to slow me down when needed and push me at the end! I sure wish that she could run the actual race with me on the 18th! Knowing that I have done it once pushes me even more to do it again!

Kenzie caught a caterpillar about 2 weeks ago and wanted to keep it. I told her to get some leaves and sticks and put it in a jar. She wanted to take it to show one of her friends the next morning. When she went to get it she couldn't find it and realized it had turned into a cacoon (spelling?) she was sad because she wanted to show her friend but I told her that it would turn into a butterfly soon and to wait. Well sure enough it did and she was able to hold it before it flew away! Now she can't wait to find another one!

Our sweet boy Landon is one! That means that we have been in Wisconsin now for a year! Crazy how time flys! I remember when we moved how he was just a few weeks old and slept alot! Now he is just as active as the rest of the kids and just full of life! He is such a fun addition to our family and we couldn't imagine life without him! He loved his birthday but did not get the whole cake thing.....he didn't like getting all messy!

It was 95 degrees the other day and we were soo hot! The kids wanted to do a lemonade stand so we ended up doing watermelon and lemonade... it was alot of fun for them! We had all sorts of visitors from bikers to grandmas:) They ended up making a whopping 20.00$ and change!

Locks of Love

My girls and I went to a cancer walk about a month ago and they had locks of love there cutting hair if you donated atleast 10 inches. Well Alyssa had no problem, in fact she wanted a hair cut. I on the other hand needed a trim but in no way wanted to chop all my hair off....I thought you only had to donate 6 inches, so I wasn't going to. Well after people around us kept sharing there stories about their cancer and losing their hair etc.....Kenzie looked at me and said, "mom if you do it I will!" Now if you know my Meckenzie you would know that she has not wanted me to cut her hair because she wanted to be Rapunzel! So after she said that I was sold....I couldn't believe that she was really going to do it! Alyssa and Kenzie ended up cutting off 12 inches each and me 10! It was an awesome experience that we had together that we will never forget! We were all telling each other, "oh it's just hair, just do it!" but to the people who have lost their hair, it is not "just hair" it is their gold!

My dear loving grandpa Limburg.....we will miss you

I got a call on Sunday night from my dad letting me know that my grandpa had passed away. He was over at his daughter's house for Mother's Day and after was heading out to get into the car to go home and he had a heart attack and couldn't be revived. Good thing is is that he didn't suffer.
I had the wonderful opportunity to take care of my grandma and grandpa for awhile when I lived in Salt Lake. It was such a pleasure getting to know my grandpa on a whole different level. He had such a great sense of humor and a wonderful love for all of my kids. When I would go to the Heritage Place to take care of them it started when Weston was a baby and so he really got to know his great-grandpa! I would also take all the kids on fridays when they had half days so that they could have a relationship with them as well. My kids loved their great-grandpa very much and will miss him alot! My grandpa loved Jason and thought the world of him and always reminded me of how blessed I was to have him....Jason would come with me on his days off and help me with laundry and trash and just sit and talk to my grandparents. He always had them laughing!! We loved sitting there and listening to his stories.....
We were able to visit my grandparents before we moved to Wisconsin. These are some of the pictures that we took. My grandpa told me then that he would be looking down on us always and I knew then that would be the last time I saw him.
With my grandpa gone now we will cherish the memories that we had with him and the wonderful example of the great life that he lived! We love you soo much grandpa......have fun playing chess with your Son Steve and his two boys Wayne and Jeff....Also enjoy seeing your family who has passed before you........you will always be with us:)

Alyssa did such a great job in her school play Rumpus in the rainforest! She remembered all of her lines and sang so well! She is a natural actress if you ask me:) She loves drama and will probably continue in it through school! She is growing up and we are really enjoying it so far:)

This is her cheezer! She said cheese and I caught it really quick! Olivia is my most mischievious little girl, in fact today she decided to paint my couch with processed cheese from her cheese and crackers......where was I?, in the bathroom for less than a minute! Yesturday she got into all my gum and had chewed all the pieces and had them all over my floor in my bedroom.....where was I?, changing Landon's diaper and nursing for about 10 minutes! She is a curious 2 year old for sure, but we wouldn't trade her for anything:) She brings so much joy to our lives!

Landon is such a joy and so much fun right now! This is such a fun age! He is crawling everywhere and discovering everything! He eats everything we eat now and for all of you that are curious....yes I am still nursing and honestly don't know how I am going to stop knowing that he is my last:( He loves it and I love the bond that it gives us. He has almost 6 teeth and getting more! He laughs and plays so well with Olivia and all his sisters and brother. He truly makes every day a happy one!

Landscaping

This last saturday we did some landscaping. It was alot of fun to see the before and after! We just planted some plants that will come back every year. They will get alot bigger than they are right now. We got some rocks also to add some flair. We also added some solar lights.....the kids loved it at night when they light up! We added shutters to the windows in the front too. This is an ongoing project, there is so much more to do but this is what we have done so far. We love being able to do what we want to our yard and can't wait to start on our garden!

So I am excited to finally be able to tell all of my friends and family about my new store on Daisy Craft. I have recently become addicted again to making bows and headbands(thanks alot Katie! lol) and want you all to be able to look at what I have been doing. I am sorry that I haven't posted lately this has been keeping me pretty busy! After I went skiing with Jason and Alyssa with her school, we were both dying to go again, and because she has such an awesome daddy and I am married to the most amazing man, he said that we could go together Valentine's night. They had a deal and so it was a little cheaper than usual! Alyssa and I had a blast together.....she is a little natural and did great....her and I even caught air on some of the snow ramps set up! It was soo much fun!

So Jason and I went skiing with some friends from his work! I have only skiied one other time and that was in high school on a field trip and Jason had never gone. We took lessons and then we were able to do what we wanted. Jason didn' t pick it up like he had hoped but is willing to give it another shot, and I am glad because I absolutely love it and want to go again and again! We still had alot of fun and can't wait until next time! I still can't believe that we lived in Utah the best place to ski and never went.....what a waste!

Christmas!

I tryed uploading more pics but once again this is all I got! It is getting really frustrating! But atleast this is something:) We had a wonderful Christmas this year! We spent it with just ourselves and I think that was a first.....we have always been with some extended family! It was great to be able to hang our stocking on the chimminy with care(sorry couldn't get the pic to upload!) and be able to stay in our jammies all day:) We just played games together and played with new toys, it was alot of fun! We always tell the story of Jesus the night before Christmas so that it can sink in and we can really feel the spirit of Christmas. Christmas morning the excitement is too much to be able to calm down for a spiritual story so we let the kids go crazy and have fun!

I was totally spoiled this year by my hubby! He got me the Cricut Expressions and alot of scrapbooking stuff(thanks to Adrie:) and also a Micheal Buble Christmas cd! I also got alot of wonderful framed pics from my mother in law, they were awesome, thanks so much!

Jason was excited to get his first drill and bits! He also got quite a bit of hunting gear and a bow from his parents! He got alot of videos about hunting and golfing that will be very useful I am sure! We together got brand new cookware which is awesome! I let him open it because he always would complain that we needed new stuff:) He was really excited and we have loved cooking with it! Thanks to my mom who got it at Kohls the day after Thanksgiving, thanks mom:)

This was one of Alyssa's favorite gifts! Her and I went to the movie together and she loved it, so grandma Debbie bought her the blanket of Edward so that she could have her very own Edward:) She sleeps with it every night:) She was spoiled like the rest of the kiddos and I am not going to attemp to list everything but she did get her alarm clock and globe!

This year like usual Kenzie asked for something random, this time it was a director's wand! She loved it when she opened it, then about an hour later she came up to me and said,"mom I can't believe that Santa actually remembered to get me this and now I don't even know what to do with it!" I told her that every night when we sing our family song, love at home, she can direct it, she liked that idea. She also got Hannah Montana games and Moonsand!

Weston had a great Christmas! Besides the awesome fishing pole and tackle box that grandpa Joe got him he also got a monster truck remote control and airhogs plane and helicopter! He was very excited and can't wait to go fishing!

Olivia's big present was her baby doll set! It came with a stroller, high chair, swing, bouncer, carseat, and diaper bag! Santa also brought her a new baby that she absolutely loves! She also got some clothes and crayola markers for toddlers!

Landon was so easy to please of course because he had no clue! He loved his stuffed puppy and also his busy ball center!

I wanted to post many more pics of Christmas eve but I am having sooo many problems uploading them and these are the only ones I got~

We had are really good friends over Adrienne and Justin and their two kiddos Colton and Hadley! We had alot of fun opening up jammies and playing games! We also had WAY TO MUCH to snack on, but what is the night before Christmas for?! Jason read a Christmas story to all the kids after they all got into their pajamas.

We hope that this can be an ongoing tradition with the Gilberts now that we don't live close enough to our families:) We are so thankful that they are in our lives!

Olivia is in love with Justin, she had to sit on his lap practically the whole night and even got mad when Adrie wanted to sit by him, it was really funny but a little odd......she wouldn't even go to Jason, she loved playing with Justin's beard!

For Alyssa's birthday she wanted reeses Ice cream and chocolate cake, so I took it a step further and made her a chocolate, reeses chips, carmel, whipped cream and chocolate syrup cake! Like mother like daughter she LOVED IT! We had fun celebrating her birthday. Most of you know that Alyssa got her bike stolen when we lived in Utah, right before we moved. Well, all she wanted for her birthday was another bike but Jason and I felt bad because if her bike wouldn't have been stolen then she could have asked for something else, so we surprized her with something else that she really wanted.....her very own MP3 player. She loved it! It was so exciting to suprise her because she really wasn't expecting anything but the bike:) She had a great birthday including wonderful cards from grandparents and great grandma and grandpa Roe. She ended up with a bunch of cash and is excited she has some money now:)

We are so very blessed to have Alyssa in our lives. She is vibrant and outgoing! She is very strong in what she believes in and is not afraid to stand up for herself or others. She teaches me little lessons all the time. I especially am so thankful for such a helpful daughter, she is amazing and I love her so much! Happy, Happy Birthday Alyssa!

Thanksgiving was so much fun! We went to my moms in Green Bay and they had invited my sister Liz's best friend Robin's family! It was so fun seeing everyone and enjoying all of the food, and boy there was alot of it! Yummy! It didn't help my weight loss any but every bite was well worth it! My mom knows how much I enjoy cooking so she let me do pretty much all of the side dishes. They all turned out so good! My stepdad Ralph and my mom put us up in the country inn and suites so that we would be comfortable with our big family and be able to swim, that was so nice of them! Thanks so much mom, we love living closer to you guys even though we are freezing our tooshies off!!!

So this year we decided to make all our ornaments for our tree and paint and decorate them! We had alot of fun! I found a really easy salt dough recipe that worked great and then used a nail to put the holes in the top of them. I didn't have to cook them they just dried! Our tree is finally up and decorated with all our fun work!

So with the holidays fast approaching and all the yummy stuff calling my name I decided that I have to post this again for some encouragement! I have only been doing okay..........I have only lost 18 pds since I posted this last and taking that long will never get me on this cover!!! I have decided that I have to stop baking so much, it is bad for my health and not good for the people I am doing it for either.....exception to the few that need to gain weight....by the way I hate you:) LOL I really wish I had that problem! The older I get the harder it is, I mean the other day when I did my elliptical I had to really push myself to do 30 minutes!! When I got off my back hurt so bad I could hardly walk.....my body is falling apart and yet I know that alot of that is because of excess weight, it's just that if you feel like crap and you ache everywhere because you are big, then how the heck are you suppose to exercise to get smaller and feel better LOL!!! I know, I know, I have to buck up and stop complaining and keep pushing along, oh and I will, but I am afraid it is going to take me longer to get on that cover! Okay I am done! Back to work:) Me

Decorating cookies!

We had so much fun the other night decorating cookies! I found an easy recipe and we had already made a bunch of ornaments from the same cookies cutters (with salt dough of course which I will post pictures of later when they are all decorated) so I thought the kids needed to eat some so we made up these cookies and frosting and had a blast! For those of you who know me well you know that I hate working with flour because of the mess so this was a big step:) We had so much fun that I plan on doing this regularly! It was really messy but so much fun! I guess you can say that I am loosening up a little and it makes life so much more enjoyable, and my kids love it too!

Olivia wasn't so sure about it at first but once Jason got her going she loved it!

When Jason went hunting with Jeff a couple weekends ago I got to hang with my sister! It was alot of fun just being able to spend time together. My mom even came up to visit the grandkids before we had to go back home. Jason didn't get anything but the trip was still well worth it!

Olivia is soooo into babies right now....she has decided that she not only has to sleep with Alyssa's and Kenzie's babies but also has to have them with her when she gets out of bed. When I go and get her she proceeds to hand me all of them one by one and then her blankee! I just laugh:) She won't be a hard one to shop for! Tonight Jason taught her how to say Hello with pronouncing the L so now she goes around saying Helllllo, hellllo.....it is so cute!

My dear, sweet grandmother Rose passed away last week. I wasn't able to come out to the funeral but my mom was there and said that is was beautiful. She led a wonderful, inspiring life I could only dream of living up to:) She will be missed so much by our family but I am so thankful that she is with my grandpa once again! She has missed him terribly. I am going to miss so much just being able to sit by her bedside and talk with her. I will also miss bringing her tomato sandwhiches and chocolate! She always told me how beautiful I was and always told me what a wonderful mother I was. For some reason it was always easier to believe it coming from her because when you were around her you just felt so spiritual and loved. I will miss you grandma, but I will see you again someday...........I love you so very much.................

Big saturday project!

So our big project for saturday was to rake our backyard! As you can see in the pics we had alot of leaves! I didn't think that it would be that much fun but it ended up being a blast! We bought enough rakes for the kids and one for J and then I assisted in taking pics and loading the bags!When we got piles that were big enough we took a break and played! It couldn't have been a more beautiful day to do it either and the kids had alot of energy because of their halloween candy:) By the end we had packed full 10 55 gallon black trash bags!!!! The next morning we woke up to more leaves that had fallen so we will be doing this again hopefully before it snows:)

Halloween!

Halloween was so much fun this year! We got to decorate our house which was fun but we can't wait until next year when we can really go all out(we are planning on getting stuff on clearance!) Jason loves dressing up and he dressed up as his pirate again this year. He even went to work and worked in it all day........he got alot of laughs! Alyssa was a vampriss, Meckenzie was a pretty nice witch, Weston was Optimus prime transformer, Olivia was an elephant, and Landon was a lobster! Me, I am just boring so I went as a plain ol' mom:) They had alot of fun trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood and we were surprised at how many kids we had come to our house! We had over 100 atleast....sometimes 20-30 at a time! It was crazy but very fun to see all of the cool costumes! Jason had to carve one of his awesome pumpkins and this year he decided to do Spongebob Squarepants, the kids loved it! It turned out really good:) Hope that you all had a happy halloween, we sure did!!!

So Jason and I decided that when High School Musical 3 came out we would all go and see it together as a family and surprise the girls! We went opening weekend to a regular theatre not a budget, I can't remember the last time we did that, it was so much fun! As you can see the girls were really surprized....we blindfolded them and took them in! We had a blast and even Landon and Olivia did great! J said that it wasn't that bad because he had seen the first 2 at home with Alyssa and Meckenzie......I loved it too because I love the first two! It's easy to like when your kids love it!

Before the movie started we took the kids to the pumpkin patch! Of course this is all 45 minutes away from where we live but it was worth it! They had so much fun going through the corn maze and petting the animals in the petting zoo! We picked out a pumpkin and Olivia loved sitting with it:) Olivia loved feeding the animals! Landon got a good nap in and hung out with me mostly:) Alyssa, Meckenzie, and Weston did the maze with Jason and wanted to do it again and again! It was a great day!

So there are times when I am so overwhelmed with having 2 kiddos 13 mths apart and then there are times like this.......complete bliss! I love snuggling my babies at the same time. It usually starts out with just Landon and then little Olivia makes her way up and snuggles right in:) I can't imagine my life without these two in it! Even though I sometimes feel like I am going insane.....they keep me sane:)

We went for a drive last weekend on what is called the "blue hills drive" It was soo beautiful! It made me really appreciate nature and the fact that I can see. It was so relaxing too, to just be able to look out my window and not have to worry about driving, thanks J:) The kids all fell asleep so they missed most of it, figures! Well...now just a week or so later the trees are almost bare, so I am sure glad we went when we did!

Weston had so much fun on his birthday! He got jason's old golf set from when he was a little boy. He loves going golfing with dad!

He also got a brand new spiderman bike! His other bike that he had finally threw in the towel! Jason told him to come out to the garage and help him fix his old bike for his birthday and Weston said, "oh, alright, but I wish I got a new bike" then he came out and didn't even notice it until we told him to go get the tools over by his new bike.....it was really fun to see his excitement!

I made him a white cake with white frosting just like he wanted with sprinkles! He got a few other presents and cards from grandparents too, he had such a great time!

We are very blessed to have Weston in our family! We love his energy and his willingness to help out. He is so great with Olivia and plays with her all of the time. He also helps with Landon when he can. He is growing up so fast sometimes I just want to pause time!!! He is loving preschool again and loves riding the bus. He is very independant and hardly wants a hug and kiss anymore, but there are those little moments when he still does and I cherish those:) We love you Wes!!

On saturday we went bowling with our friends the Gilberts! We had alot of fun, even though our scores weren't the greatest:) We put the kids next to us on bumber bowling and we did regular.....some of us should have done bumber......heee...........heee........Justin won on our side and little miss Kenzie beat the kids! This is pretty much what we have for entertainment here so it was nice to enjoy it with someone else for a change:) After bowling we came back to our house and hung out! We are so glad that we have friends that are willing to make the trip(1 hour) to come and hang out with us:) We love hanging out with you guys, thanks Justin and Adrienne!!!

I couldn't get Alyssa to good because she wasn't close to me and we aren't suppose to go in the gym because of liabilities etc so I had to zoom in on her and it still didn't turn out great......She was practicing the balance beam. Meckenzie was on the trampoline learning how to start and stop jumping and how to land and also different kinds of jumps! It was so fun to watch them! Pretty soon they will be doing all sorts of things! They can't wait!

Kristi's Wedding!!

So we were able to go to Jason's sister's wedding a couple of weeks ago and it was soooo much fun! We only took Olivia and Landon because they were free to fly and that actually turned out okay. My wonderful mother watched the three older kids in Green Bay. The trip was way to short considering we got there on a friday and flew back sunday, but it was totally worth it! Lisa watched both of my kiddos, bless her heart!!!!, so that Jason and I could have a night out alone without kids! We haven't been out alone since we moved, so it was greatly needed! We were out on the dance floor pretty much the whole night and then just talking to everyone getting caught up! I didn't get any pics of us dancing but I am sure his mom did, I will have to get those, if you know Jason you would be entertained, that is what he pretty much did all night! It was a blast! Kristi was absolutely beautiful(I still can't believe that she is married, I met her when she was 7! wow I am old!) and so much in love! We loved spending time with Jason's extended family! My kids did okay, of course I was texting all night making sure they weren't giving Lisa any problems:) and they did great! Lisa I owe you big time!! We can't wait to visit again and for hopefully alot longer next time! We love and miss you guys already!!!

So if you know me really well you know that I have struggled with my weight off and on for a long time! I have pretty much tried every diet out there and came to the conclusion that Weight Watchers is really the most sensible and practical program to follow. I am starting this long process again and am very committed to reaching my goal. After five wonderful kids in 10 years I want my body back! I want to have the energy to play with my kids and get involved in their sports! I want to be able to shop in the stores I have only dreamed of shopping in!(American Eagle Outfitters:) I want to be able to look at myself and be proud of my accomplishment! I want to be healthy and live a long life and be a healthy grandma someday! I have been inspired by so many people in my life when it comes to weight loss and just to list a few I would have to say my dear mother who has lost 60+ pds, and my step father who has lost over 85 and is still going strong, and my friend Melanie who has lost alot, I just don't have the number, but she looks amazing! I know that I can do this! I told myself if I could run a mile non-stop than I could do anything, well.....about a year and 1/2 ago I ran my first mile ever and it ended up being 2 miles 3x's weekly for awhile until I got pregnant again:) I know that I am worth it and that this is something that is totally attainable! I have a wonderful friend here(I don't know if she wants me to say her name so I won't) that is doing this with me and is a great support, thank you soo much, really you are awesome! I have lost 5 pds so far and that is just the beginning! Of course I can always use encouragement, so I am leaving this blog open to anyone who wants to leave a bit of a push for me:) I will read my comments for inspiration so make them good! I have had many friends out there help me with this before and I appreciate each and every one of you! I am done having kids so this is it! I am on my way to a new me! Keep checking back for MY PERSONAL PEOPLE COVER! I want to make the cover, that is my goal and I am letting everyone know so that I can't fail! Wish me luck!!!!

Jason was featured here in the local paper for being a new Physical therapist to the area! This is their advertisement to the community. Julie does most of the inpatient work-load and Jason, Josh and Tony do mostly outpatient. As you can see on the bottom of the article they do pretty much any kind of therapy, so he is getting great experience! He loves his job way more than he thought that he would probably mostly because of the great people he works with:) This area is really growing on us!

So on friday night we had some friends over from church, they actually drove an hour to come which was really nice! We had alot of fun! They are actually from Logan, Utah and moved here about 8 months ago or so. We ate dinner and then played games until midnight! We probably would have kept on but the kids were pretty much in melt-down mode. It was sure nice being able to hang out with friends and just kick back:) Our kids get along really well also so that makes it nice! We hope to hang out with them all again and continue to get to know them!

This night was pretty nice because Landon was happy and content, so Jason didn't have to be bouncing him or walking around with him. He seems to be getting a little less fussy which is awesome, I hope that it subsides soon.....but isn't he cute?!! We sure love him anyway!

Jason and I have been married 11 years now! We celebrated it by going out to the tee-away steakhouse right up on the corner from where we live. We were able to have a good time even though the atmosphere wasn't the greatest. The bar was right across from where we were sitting and in WI it seems like everyone drinks on the weekends, especially in Ladysmith where there really isn't anything else to do, so needless to say, it was very loud.....but we made the best of it. Between Landon crying and the bar fools laughing, it ended up being quite the night. We were able to talk later that night at home and just reminiss about our lives together so far. It is really quite interesting how much you still don't know about a person even after this long. I love learning knew things about Jason. It helps me appreciate him even more for all of the wonderful things he does for me. So just to list a few.......he is amazing at reading me and knowing what I need to hear right at that moment or if I need a break, he has a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and strengthens me with it, he really listens to me when I talk, and that is hard to do sometimes I am sure:), he is an amazing father and plays with his kids every chance he gets, he is a hard worker and provides for his family......I love him soo much and the time that we have had together so far. I can't wait for the years to follow. He is most definately my very best friend and I am thankful that I have him! If you are reading this hun, I love you so very much, and hope that you feel that from me each day.....you are amazing and I couldn't imagine my life with anyone different:)

Girls first day of school!

Alyssa and Meckenzie were so excited for school to start mainly because they were sick of being home with me:) They both love their new teachers and classrooms! Meckenzie was a little nervous the first day not being able to eat lunch with Alyssa and play at recess with her, but she ended up having alot of fun and really enjoyed making new friends! Alyssa made some new friends and even told one girl that she didn't want to pick on the smaller kids when she asked her to. I was so proud of her, she has such a good head on her shoulders, just like her daddy! I already miss my girls being home with me to talk to and help with Landon....it will definately take some getting used to not having them at home:( (They also started gymnastics but I still have to take some pictures and I will post those later!)

Weston love's his school so far! He loves taking the bus to and from pre-school the most! Weston even says that he likes his teacher......so far he has been painting, playing games, drawing, having snack etc. I can't believe how big he is getting! I must say though that I am sure glad that he is not to old to give his mom a kiss and hug before he gets on the bus....it made me cry when he got on the bus, such a big boy, not even scared, and then waved goodbye to me! He was sooo excited! I love spending time with Weston in the mornings before he goes to pre-school, and I miss him when he is gone each day!

The inevitable happened!

So I am on the phone talking with my sister-in-law Brittney when all of the sudden Weston comes running in the house yelling, "mom!! Alyssa has blood all over her, on her face and arms and legs, come quick!" (something to that affect), so I say a real quick, gotta go, and I run outside to see Alyssa truly covered in blood! She was riding Kenzie's scooter and hit a divit in the road and fell on the concrete curb! She split her chin open pretty bad.....at first Jason and I were wandering if she truly needed stitches because of the whole uninsured status that we are in right now.....and sure enough our neighbor who is an internal medicine doc came over and assured us that we did need to take her in. Luckily it was 5 pm and from 5-7 pm they treat it as an office visit not an emergency so that was good. Here are 2 pictures of her after she got home from getting stitches....she was pretty bumbed out. Washing the blood out of her clothes took forever, I couldn't believe that that much blood could come from a wound that small!

We really thought that we could make it till October when his insurance kicks in, before we would run into any problems, but we were wrong. What were we thinking? With 5 kids something is bound to go wrong....and sure enough it did, but we are counting our blessings that it wasn't more serious and that Alyssa was okay. Needless to say, the kids are not alowed to ride their bikes or scooters until October unless I drive them to the church down the road where it is new pavement.....we are not taking any more chances:)

So I have to start by saying that I have the most wonderful hubby! He not only was okay with me going shopping with my two older girls and spending lots of money, but he also agreed to stay home with not only Weston and Olivia, but also Landon(who doesn't take a bottle really well) who is fussy and has to be held alot:) Thank you hunny sooooooooo much, you now know what this day truly meant to me:) I love you so much!

So off we went! We were initially going to go to the Mall of America but then heard from everyone that it is more fun if you go there to go to the amusement park, so we decided to wait and do that with the family. So instead we went to Eau Claire, WI to do back to school shopping! It took about an hour and a 1/2 to get there, but hey, when we got there it was so nice to see a mall! Yay! We first had lunch together at Applebee's our favorite resturant and ordered pretty much whatever we wanted, it was so much fun! Then we were off......

We shopped in all the kids stores......Just for girls, Gap, Children's place, Old Navy, Famous footwear, Payless shoes, Claire's etc. The girls had so much fun trying on all sorts of outfits. We have never been able to do this and this was one of my wishes for my girls once Jason got a job was to be able to go school shopping and just buy what they want and not worry so much about money. They have had so many hand me downs in the past 7 years, and trust me I have been very thankful for those, but there comes a time when you just want them to have their own NEW stuff!

Alyssa is definately at that stage of fashion....she loves belts, shoes, hair ties, jewerly, everything to make her look stylish! Meckenzie had fun at first but then got a little tired from all the trying on clothes. She was so easy to shop for, she pretty much agreed with anything that I said was cute! Alyssa on the other hand is so indecisive it took forever to pick out one shirt! I still had so much fun with them both! It was so nice to be able to spend such quality time with just my older girls and talk to them about school and what they were afraid of, being in a new city and all, and what they were excited about! Having no interuptions of a baby crying, Olivia wanting something or Weston running around the house being loud, was so nice for a day! It is amazing how much you learn about your children when you are able to really spend time with them individually. Alyssa is so smart....and she really understands things, she is so sensitive to me and my feelings and I am so thankful that I have her here with me. Kenzie is a dear heart as well, she always makes me laugh.....like on the drive home out of the blue she says,"wow mom, you are soo talented....you can talk on the phone, eat an Ice cream cone and drive at the same time!!" I started laughing and said, "yeah... well don't tell your daddy that!"

Of course I couldn't come home emty handed for Weston and Olivia....I bought Weston some cool new shoes and Olivia some too! I Also got Weston a new backpack for school that came with a wallet that he loves! That night we had so much fun putting on a fashion show for Jason! I would introduce each girl with their outfits and shoes etc. and they would strut their stuff like they were naturals! They loved it and even Weston got in on the fun and showed off his new backpack and shoes. It was a great day and night......a much needed day away for me.....

I guess this is my time to brag a little about my two girls and how wonderful they are! They could have been snotty, stuck up, or even beg for this or that, and there was none of that. They just appreciated being able to spend a day with there mom and that is truly what it was all about, a day out with mom! That is what they said was the best part of it all! So a few hundred dollars later and what do I get from it....... really sore feet:), and a memory that I had with my 2 older girls that I will cherish forever:)

Alyssa and Meckenzie I love you both so much, you truly light up my life. I am blessed so much to have each of you:) What a blast we had....I will never forget it!

So I know that I have posted alot in a little while but I just wanted to get caught up. I know it is alot to look at, but take the time, alot of fun things have been going on! I love looking at all of your blogs, they are awesome! I love this whole bloggin' thing, I never thought I would, but it is definately more fun than I thought!
