Having a place to go is home, having someone to love is family, having both is a blessing!

Aren't moms wonderful?!!

So in the kitchen before were these pink drapes and they were just lovely, let me tell you! Well my mother and I picked these out and got a new rod as well and then she sewed some white privacy curtains to them and VIOLA, the finished product! Great job mom, they are 125 percent better:)

Our first day and night in our home:)

Here are the girls sleeping in their room the first night! They love their new room, especially now that it is painted and things are put away! I will be putting up and after picture soon....
We ended up putting Olivia back in with Weston for now atleast until Landon gets bigger. Landon is in our room right now and it works out good that way considering that he is not sleeping through the night yet.

Weston slept on his mattress on the floor the first night, here his is just having a late night snack:)
After much help, my mother was exhausted and I caught this sweet picture of her holding Landon on her lap to calm him down. After the trip he has been pretty fussy, hopefully he will calm down eventually.

Jason with his mountain dew for energy:) enjoying being able to sit down in his home. Notice the aweful light in the background? Well that part of this huge room is suppose to be a formal dining room, but anyone who knows me knows that I am not a formal kinda person, so we call that part of the room our living room and the side where Jason is by the fireplace, our family room. We love it like this! When we just want calm and chill we sit in the family room....if we want to work out and watch tv or use the computer we go in the living room.
Thanks to my awesome brother-in-law Jeff and his buddy bubba we were able to replace that light with a nice fan and light! Also they installed blinds on both windows, so that we could take down some of the curtains that were over doing this room!

My mom is sitting with the kiddos watching a movie so that I can get things done. It was soo great having her with me the first week to get settled in, I of course bawled like a baby when she left:( In the background is part of our backyard, it was a beautiful day!

Our new ward and Unpacking the truck!

When we got to the house on tuesday we had about 13 people from our new ward show up(from 45 minutes away) to help us unload and move in! It was so fun getting to know everyone and getting that amazing help, it reminded me of when I moved into the court:) Everyone seems very nice and we are really enjoying getting to know them better:) Even though our ward is far away, we enjoy going and we know that it will grow on us. The kids still have a hard time with the drive, especially Weston, so if you have any good suggestions to keep their minds off of it let us know, we are open to any advice:)

approaching Ladysmith, Wisconsin!

This is the view I had pretty much the whole trip! Even though I could go faster than Jason, we decided it would be better if we stayed together.....needless to say I hated having to not only be behind a truck, but I had to be behind a truck pulling a car.....

And our only McDonalds, 7 miles to Ladysmith:)

You can't say Wisconsin isn't absolutely beautiful!!! We might not have mountains but look at those trees:)

Crossing over the Flambeau river....I drive over this river every time I go to Walmart or the hospital to see Jason:) This picture really doesn't do it justice.

OUR FIRST HOME!!! Finally home, wow do those trees need to be trimmed....I will post pics of Jason's job well done later, he sure had a fun time trimming those trees:)

Moving to Wisconsin!!!

Let's just say that Olivia loved the red vines! She was such a great kid on the road, really I couldn't have a more well-natured child:)

This is me and my wonderful mother! She was so wonderful to fly out and help me not only clean my apartment but also make the move to Wisconsin with me and my fam! She is truly an amazing women and I am so very thankful for her and her willingness to help. She survived the trip.....do I ever think she would do it again?! NO! But I am glad she did this time! I love you soo much mom! You are so understanding....

This is Jason and I at a rest stop being silly, my mom wanted a pic!

Traveling long hours in the car, wow it really takes everything out of you!

The kids took turns riding with Jason in the big Uhaul truck! They loved it, and I thouroughly enjoyed it as well:)

Here is our 26 foot truck! Wow, we really accumulated alot of crap:) I even de-junked!

Kenzie and Wes loving riding with their daddy in the big truck!

MEMORIES:)

I thought that this one would be fun to look back on memories. Here are the rules:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

"Hey mom, I can ride a 2-wheeler!"

So when I was feverishly cleaning and packing to move, Weston ran in the house and yelled, "hey mom, I can ride a 2-wheeler come and see!" I obviously was so busy and didn't believe him really, and it took poor Weston going on and on about it to coax me outside. So I took a break and went to see him and sure enough he hopped up on this little 12-inch bike and started riding around the court! I of course felt horrible for not believing him and ran inside and grabbed my camera to take pictures! He was so proud of himself and I thought it was awesome how he taught himself:) Jason had tried a few times with him on his bigger 16-inch bike, but was unsuccessful, so we were just waiting it out. Well, I told Weston that now we had to learn on his bigger bike and he said no that he wanted me to buy him a small bike again. I said nope(even though a part of me wanted to), and said you will learn eventually on your bigger one just keep practicing. When we got to Ladysmith, we got everything unpacked and then the next day the kids started riding their bikes around the neighboorhood. Well it didn't take long and before we could even help him he figured out how to ride his big one all by himself as well! He is a determined little boy! We are so proud of him!

Final goodbyes:(

So the time came when we finally had to say goodbye and leave. It was so hard for me of course and I was crying on and off the whole time. Poor Karen was sick so I had to go and say goodbye to her at her apt and I just realized I didn't get a picture with her, but atleast I have one from the girls night out:) I had to bribe Cory to take a picture because Trent said he doesn't like his picture to be taken...it was really funny, but it turned out really cute! I will miss all of you terribly! You guys have been there for me through so much! Being able to call up any of you and ask for a missing ingredient, "hey can you monitor my kids", or just to cry or vent was so nice:) Let me tell you how NOT FUN it is taking all 5 of my kiddos to the store, especially in Wisconsin where most people only have 2-3 kids if that:) It is great to get looked at all the time, hopefully they will get used to it atleast until I feel comfortable with Alyssa staying home with the older kids! It was so nice being able to leave Alyssa home there and feel comfortable knowing that if anything happened she was surrounded by people who cared! You all are amazing, we will never forget you! We have soo many great memories to hold on to! Thank you, thank you, thank you........:) We hope someday that we will be able to see you all again when you have moved on as well! And girls, be saving up for a fun weekend together because I am going to make sure it happens in the next couple of years:) Good luck to all of you!

Visit from the Bowen's

We were so thankful to have the bowens as friends! They came all the way from Herriman to bring us dinner and say goodbye. It was a great dinner that the kids loved and as you can see in the pictures the kids loved seeing each other:) Becki I am so very glad that we were paired up as vt companions! That made it more possible to become good friends. We think that your family is amazing and I am so glad that we can keep up with you on your blog! We will really miss you! Thanks for everything!!!

WE LIVE, WE LAUGH, WE LOVE!
